Welding wire for submerged arc welding of cr-mo low alloy steel

Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a weld zone having high toughness and high strength by using a wire contg. C, Si, Mn, Cr, Mo, B, N, Ti, Zr, Al at specific ratios in submerged arc welding of titled steel having a specific compsn. CONSTITUTION: Submerged arc welding of the Cr-Mo low alloy steel composed specifically, by weight, of ≤0.14% C, 0.05W0.60% Si, 0.20W1.50% Mn, 1.0W 10.0% Cr, 0.40W2.50% Mo is accomplished by using a wire which contains 0.0001W0.01% B and 0.010W0.035% N as essential components in addition to the basic components speciified to 0.05W0.15% C, ≤0.20% Si, 0.4W1.5% Mn, 1.0W10.5% Cr, 0.40W2.50% Mo and ≥1 kinds among 0.02W0.30% Ti, 0.05W 0.30% Zr, 0.05W0.20% Al as additives, contains 0.003W0.30% (Ti+Al+Zr+10B) and is added with 0.1W1.2% Ni according to need.
